Kirk received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee in 1988 with a concentration in portfolio management and economics. In 2003, he earned his Certified Financial Planner, CFP® designation.
As a Certified Financial Planner practitioner, Kirk works closely with clients to address their complex financial planning needs. He is an avid student of the markets and leverages his knowledge of macro- and micro-economic trends to provide his clients timely investment advice and strategies.
For five years, Kirk hosted “The Investment Challenge” radio program broadcast in the Washington D.C. metro area on Business Radio AM 570/1260. He formerly taught financial planning to government executives for the National Association of Transition Planning. Kirk is a board member of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area, and he serves as secretary for the Board of Governors International Country Club.
Kirk volunteers time to Youth For Tomorrow, Brain Injury Services and the First Tee Organization of the Greater DC Area. He is an active member and golfer at International Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia. An avid writer, Kirk blogs frequently about timely investment and financial topics. In his spare time, Kirk enjoys following Tennessee sports, golf, weightlifting and spending time with his two dogs: a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Bluetick Coonhound. Kirk lives in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife Christie.
