Where to Start?

November 16, 2020 By Kristan L. Anderson, CEBS®, CFP®

I’m an idea person. I have a lot of ideas and get excited about them and even start implementing many of them. But without certain expertise and the appropriate runway to fully realize these ideas, they may get lost in the day-to-day process of living and working and managing a department and a household. I’m sure a lot of you can relate.

Sometimes, even the best ideas need an external catalyst to get going. How great is it when you have a partner who is interested in what you want to accomplish and can offer support? When someone agrees with your vision and wants to help you see the idea to fruition. That is what we are offering to clients with our consulting services program. The idea is to provide ongoing support to our younger clients (or clients’ children) who are currently building their wealth and may not be able to afford full asset management services, or need a comprehensive financial plan.

Consider how many times you wish you had a trusted resource to ask about decisions related to your financial wellbeing. How much should you save for a down payment for a house? What options should you pick during benefits open enrollment? How do you invest your 401(k) contributions? Should you do a Roth IRA? Making the appropriate choices sometimes requires thinking about what else may be impacted. If you aggressively save for a house down payment, are you limiting your savings for other goals? Is the tax impact now of making Roth 401(k) contributions going to be worth it 20+ years from now, when you may need to take the money out? We offer ongoing services designed to help you figure these things out and make informed choices that have long-term impact.

So, consider this your introduction to having an advisor on call, ready to look into your financial folder and help you sort through everything. We can answer those questions that you’ve been relying on YouTube videos, or advice from your uncle, to answer. While we adjust our services to meet this changing environment, let us know what questions you have, or how we can add value.
